The Cask Duo — Chalk & Carbon
Two cask-shaped forms, one in each extreme of the palette — yet unmistakably of the same family.
The dark vessel carries the depth of carbon black, its surface smooth but alive with smudged white patches — evoking the well-used surface of a blackboard, marked by time and touch. Thin etched lines cut quietly across, as though someone has drawn on it and never quite erased.
Its counterpart is cast in white, equally etched with fine lines — but here the surface hints at something darker beneath, a shadow of black showing through like a secret the glaze couldn’t quite keep.
Together or apart, they hold a kind of visual tension — light and dark, exposure and restraint.
