Iris

A generous terracotta planter, painted by hand with a delicate garden of lilies, grasses and tiny insects emerging against a deep charcoal-black ground. The botanical detailing has been deliberately kept light and graceful, allowing areas of the dark surface to remain visible and giving the piece a distinctly contemporary character.

A raised, hand-finished band circles the form, adding another layer of texture and making the planter as interesting to look at up close as it is from across a room. Each motif is individually painted by our artists, so no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.

Beautiful with a sculptural indoor plant, but equally compelling left empty, this is a planter designed to become part of the room rather than simply hold greenery. Its scale and dark palette make it particularly striking against warm woods, stone and neutral interiors.

Handcrafted and hand-painted in India. Each piece is individually made and will carry subtle variations of the artist’s hand.
