Moon Rider

A surreal composition of two riders seated back-to-back on an elongated, almost mythical horse. Against broad fields of charcoal and muted beige, the ochre figure appears to stretch and dissolve into the landscape, while a pale moon hangs overhead. Spare lines, unexpected proportions and an earthy palette give the painting its distinctive character. At 50 × 30 inches, it works beautifully above a console, in a living room or at the end of a passage where its unusual form can be seen from a distance.
